NTSB Releases Factual Report In 2011 CA Super King Air Accident

Reports The Airplane Was More Than 600 Pounds Overweight At Takeoff

An NTSB factual report for an accident which occurred in March of 2011 resulting in the fatal injury of four of the five people on board the airplane contains information showing the airplane was about 600 pounds over its maximum approved takeoff weight when it departed Long Beach, CA, airport, and both engines were due for a major overhaul. The pilot was also not observed conducting a pre-flight inspection of the aircraft.
