Lost Copter Found: Two Killed

Homebuilt Down

A New Jersey Forest Fire Service helicopter found the wreckage of a homebuilt helicopter on Tuesday in a wooded area near the Atlantic City Expressway. The pilot and passenger were found in the wreckage. Thomas Navickas, 61, and passenger USMC Captain Christian Gafke, 34 died in the crash.

Liberty Aerospace announced Wednesday that it has received Type Inspection Authorization from the Federal Aviation Administration for Instrument Flight Rules operation of its single engine XL2 aircraft.
