Canadian Aviation Association Introduces Drone Membership

COPA is Canada's Largest Aviation Association

The Canadian Owners and Pilots Association (COPA) has introduced new membership options to include the drone community, much like the actions taken by the AOPA some years ago--an effort that seems to have gone awry (like so many things from AOPA)... so we hope COPA has better luck. The Association notes that drones are profoundly changing the world of aviation, and as this new technology evolves, so too will its role in society. The remotely piloted aircraft are transforming Canadian businesses, enabling new insights and capabilities in disaster management, search and rescue, infrastructure, and countless other industries.

NTSB Prelim: Cessna 182M

Airplane Experienced A Total Loss Of Engine Power

On April 20, 2021, about 1515 central daylight time, a Cessna 182M, N91606, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Eufaula, Alabama. The commercial pilot was not injured. The positioning flight was conducted under the provisions of Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91. The flight was operated by Perry Air and the purpose of the flight was for the pilot to drop another company flight instructor to recover another company airplane from Milton, Florida after the completion of an avionics installation.
