New 2021 Top Hawk Participants Named

Textron Has Placed 26 Cessna Skyhawks With Participating Top Hawk Schools

Textron Aviation has named four participants for its 2021 Top Hawk program that places one of the world’s leading training aircraft, the Cessna Skyhawk, with top pilot training programs around the country, promoting general aviation and encouraging young people to pursue aviation as a career. NAV Canada Commits To Maintaining Certain Airport Services

There Will Be No Site Closures At Air Traffic Control Towers Or Flight Service Stations Amidst questions and concerns; NAV Canada confirmed that it will maintain air traffic control service to Canadian communities, including Fort McMurray AB, Prince George BC, Regina SK, Saint-Jean QC, Sault Ste. Marie ON, Whitehorse YT and Windsor ON. Last fall, NAV Canada launched 29 aeronautical studies in an effort to safely streamline its operations, ensuring that air navigation services align with market demand. After considerable consultation with airlines, airports, industry associations, local officials and internal stakeholders, NAV Canada has elected to limit changes to services across the country.

AD: Piper Aircraft, Inc. Airplanes

AD 2021-09-02 Corrects An Incorrect Modification Kit Part Number

The FAA is superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2021-04-07 which applied to certain Piper Aircraft, Inc., (Piper) Models PA-46-350P (Malibu Mirage), PA-46R-350T (Malibu Matrix), and PA-46-500TP (Malibu Meridian) airplanes. AD 2021-04-07 required identifying and correcting nonconforming stall warning heat control systems. Since AD 2021-04-07 was issued, the FAA was notified of an error in the stall warning heat control modification kit part number. This AD retains all of the actions in AD 2021-04-07 and corrects the incorrect modification kit part number. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. This AD is effective April 16, 2021.
