ATP Flight School Adds King Schools Courses To Curriculum

Three Courses Integrated Into Student's Online Portal

ATP Flight School has added King Schools’ online video courses as a key element in their Airline Career Pilot Program. On sign-up, students will get a head-start with the King Schools Private Pilot Ground School and Test Prep Course. Then, when they start their flight training, they will be enrolled in the King Schools Private Pilot Practical Test Course, which provides HD video showing a model checkride with an FAA examiner using the new Airmen Certification Standards (ACS).

Canadian Arctic Aviation Tour Exhausts Funds, Cancels Shows

Completed 60 Of A Planned 97-Show Tour In Celebration Of Canada's 150th Anniversary

The 2017 Canadian Arctic Aviation Tour had grand plans for the celebration of the nation's 150th anniversary. Some 97 air shows were planned across northern Canada last summer to mark the occasion. But Nancy McClure, the shows' organizer pulled the plug on the tour after completing only 60 of the shows, saying the money had run out.

NBAA Hails House Passage Of Bill Strengthening General Aviation Security

The U.S. House of Representatives has passed legislation to strengthen and streamline security for general aviation and charter operators. The bill – “Securing General Aviation and Commercial Charter Air Carrier Service Act of 2017' (H.R. 3669) – sponsored by Rep. Ron Estes (R-4-KS), would improve security procedures for general aviation and commercial charter air carriers.

Flight Design may be under new ownership, but it will continue to be a leader in the design and manufacturing of advance light aircraft. Flight Design was acquired by LIFTAir of Eisenach, Germany in July of 2017. As an indicator of the new owner's future plans, the company has been rebranded as Flight Design General Aviation GmbH.

U.S. Department Of Commerce Invests $1 Million At ERAU

Will Establish A New Aviation And Engineering Research Center In Florida

A new project at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Daytona Beach, FL campus, funded by a $1 million grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce through its Economic Development Administration (EDA), is expected to create 387 new jobs and spur $1.6 million in private investment.
