God Help Us, We're Just A Few Days From The "Big Launch"
There is an old Chinese proverb that goes something along the
lines of "be careful of what you wish for, as you may find it."
I've come to be very fond of that saying as Aero-TV has progressed
over the last six months from what was once an intriguing idea, to
an amazing (if a little crazy) program, to be taken on by an even
more amazing team of committed people, to what it is now -- a
burgeoning reality that is but days away.
World War One aviation history is rich and fascinating. It was a
period of very rapid technological development, in which aircraft
evolved from their humble beginnings as slow moving and fragile
powered kites into quick, agile, and sturdy war machines.
"We have in place contingency plans that would protect
the planned May 2008 first delivery in the event that the date of
first flight moves... The target date could well move into the fall
as we proceed through the complex work of final assembly, systems
integration and structural testing."

Seattle Times reported Saturday further delays may be in store for
Boeing's much-anticipated 787 Dreamliner. The company will
reportedly announce Wednesday the first flight of the 787 could be
pushed into late October or later, according to a source close to
the program.
