ANN regrets to inform you that the truly stunning Bugatti 100p replica aircraft went down, with the loss of its pilot, Scotty Wilson. The accident occurred early Saturday morning, near Burns Flat, Oklahoma. Says Prototype Aircraft Could Be Flying By Next Year

Urban areas are becoming increasingly congested, and traffic problems cost people and companies millions of dollars each year in lost productivity. The population of urban centers is expected to grow by 10 percent by 2030, putting 60 percent of the world's population in cities. With all that traffic congestion, Airbus is looking at the role of autonomous air vehicles to allow commuters to fly over the traffic at the touch of a button.

ANN's Daily Aero-Term (08.08.16): ILS PRM Approach

ILS PRM Approach An instrument landing system (ILS) approach conducted to parallel runways whose extended centerlines are separated by less than 4,300 feet and at least 3,000 feet where closely spaced independent approaches are permitted. Also used in conjunction with an LDA PRM, or RNAV (GPS) PRM approach to conduct Simultaneous Offset Instrument Approach (SOIA) operations. No Transgression Zone (NTZ) monitoring is required to conduct these approaches. When the runway spacing is less than 3,600 feet, the NTZ must be monitored by a Precision Runway Monitor (PRM) or other high update rate surveillance system.
