AMA Drone Report 04.20.17: Phantom 4 Advanced, NJ NIMBYism, AMA-DJI Team Up

DJI’s new Phantom 4 Advanced offers a more powerful camera and more upgraded controls. The new upgrades the original Phantom 4, with a 1-inch, 20-megapixel sensor and a mechanical shutter. The upgraded camera is capable of shooting 4K video at 60 frames per second, while more powerful video processing supports H.264 4K videos at 60fps or H.265 4K at 30fps -- at a 100Mbps bitrate. Similar to the Phantom 4 Pro, it comes with intelligent features that allow automatic flight modes, including Draw, ActiveTrack, TapFly, Gesture and Tripod.

The petition supporting the Planes of Fame Air Museum Air Show has crossed the 15,000 signature mark, on the way to 25,000. In an update, Planes of Fame Executive Director Steve Hinton said the museum is moving ahead with all plans and preparations for the show, which will continue "until the court tells us otherwise."
