Any sudden shift in wind speed or direction is going to have
adverse effects on an airplane. If it happens close to the ground,
you may not have room to recover.
Controlled Flight into Terrain Occurs when an airworthy
aircraft under the control of the flight crew is flown
unintentionally into terrain, obstacles or water, usually with no
prior awareness by the crew.
"Hence, LCCs cannot dictate what should be our definition of a
budget carrier. Though such carriers cut costs on in-flight meals,
operate newer, fuel efficient aircraft and offer lower free baggage
allowance, they still have other expenses on crew and
navigation."
