Boeing has made an investment in Matternet, a Menlo Park, CA-based startup pioneering safe, on-demand unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) delivery operations in urban environments. Matternet's advanced logistics platform – combined with Boeing's expertise in complex logistics, integration and manufacturing capabilities – will further enable reliable, efficient cargo air transportation.

EASA has granted certification to StandardAero for their retrofittable crash-resistant fuel tank (CRFT) system for the Airbus Helicopters AS350 and EC130 family of light single helicopters. The newly approved CRFT was developed in partnership with Robertson Fuel Systems, the leader in the design and manufacture of fuel containment systems.

Swiss air navigation service provider Skyguide and drone airspace management platform developer AirMap have successfully demonstrated Swiss U-space services nationwide in Switzerland. The demonstration was part of the Drone Innovators Network event put on by the World Economic Forum (WEF) in collaboration with the Federal Department of the Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications (DETEC) and Presence Switzerland.
