Baby Steps: Eviation Accepts Delivery Of magniX Electric Propulsion Unit

Receives First EPU At Its Arlington, WA Facility

Eviation Aircraft has taken delivery of the first Alice EPU from magniX, the company powering the electric aviation revolution, a milestone in the build of 'Alice' as it prepares for first flight. The Alice all-electric aircraft, which may eventually fly nine passengers for up to 440 nautical miles, will be powered by magniX propulsion systems. The flight-proven magniX EPUs have been powering aircraft in flight since December of 2019 and are hoping for FAA Part 33 certification in 2022.

Senate Committee Approves Advanced Air Mobility Working Group Bill

The U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation approved the Advanced Air Mobility Coordination and Leadership Act (S.516), which establishes a federal interagency working group to develop a national strategy, in coordination with industry and other stakeholders, to enable the maturation and growth of the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) sector.
