Both To Be Delivered In VIP Configuration In Turkey
An order for one AW139 intermediate twin-engine helicopter and one AW189 super medium twin-engine helicopter has been placed with AgustaWestland by Kaan Air. Both helicopters will be fitted out with VIP passenger transport interiors and will be operated in Turkey. The contract expands the success of the AW139 in Turkey and marks the entrance of the AW189 into the Turkish helicopter market.
Successful Completion Announced At AHS Annual Forum
Sikorsky Aircraft and Lord Corporation have completed flight demonstration testing of the Hub Mounted Vibration Suppressor (HMVS), a new technology aimed to reduce vibration on helicopters. The demonstration was part of an effort to address the challenge of crew fatigue and reduced equipment reliability and readiness that are caused by helicopter vibration.
