VerdeGo Aero's Diesel Hybrid System Combines A 180KW Generator With A High-Power Battery Pack

Airflow has partnered with VerdeGo Aero to team up and explore using the VerdeGo Aero hybrid-electric powertrain system in the Airflow eSTOL (electric Short Takeoff and Landing) aircraft. VerdeGo Aero's diesel (Jet-A) hybrid system combines a 180KW generator with a high-power battery pack that reduces emissions and fuel burn by 35% compared to conventional turbine powertrains. Integrating VerdeGo's hybrid-electric powertrain to the eSTOL platform enhances the aircraft's mission capabilities by extending range to four to ten times that of a battery-electric system.

Bell Opens Global Commercial Business Center

Facility Will Be Dedicated To Supporting Bell’s Commercial Business

Bell Textron has opened the new Bell Commercial Business Center (CBC). The new facility will be located at 4151 Amon Carter Boulevard, a former American Airlines building approximately seven miles away from both Bell’s Headquarters and the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. Beginning in November 2020, Bell’s CBC will house approximately 600 Bell employees including all Commercial Programs, Global Sales, Customer Support and Services as well as supporting business functions, Supply Chain, Information Technology, Human Resources and Finance personnel.
