Philippine Airlines Takes Delivery Of First A321

Carrier Adds Capacity With Largest Model Of A320 Family

Philippine Airlines (PAL) has taken delivery of its first Airbus A321. The aircraft was handed over at the Airbus delivery center in Hamburg, Germany Wednesday and is the first of 64 new Airbus aircraft ordered by the airline in 2012 under a major fleet modernization program. These include 44 single aisle A321s and 20 widebody A330s.

Airline Executive Says Move Makes Fleet 'Adaptable To Seasonal Needs'

Transat A.T. Inc. has signed an agreement with the U.S.-based International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC) for the long-term (eight-year) leasing of four Boeing B737-800 aircraft. These planes will be introduced in summer 2014 and become the core of Air Transat's permanent narrow-body fleet. They will be used on routes to Mexico, the Caribbean and Florida.

Boeing, ANA Announce Order for Three 777-300ERs

Will Increase Japanese Carrier's Fleet Of Triple-7s To 57

Three additional 777-300ER airplanes have been ordered by All Nippon Airways. Boeing says the order, valued at approximately $945 million at current list prices, will increase the total number of 777s in ANA's fleet to 57 airplanes once delivered.
