Afriqiyah Airways Takes Delivery Of First Airbus A330

Move Brings Airbus Commonality To Its Rapidly Expanding Network

Afriqiyah Airways has taken delivery of their first Airbus A330-200 aircraft, becoming a new operator of this aircraft type. The new A330 will seat 230 passengers in a two-class cabin and will serve long-haul operations on routes from Tripoli to Africa and Europe.

US Airways, Delta Announce Slot Transaction

Includes Domestic, International Routes From DCA, LGA

In a transaction announced Tuesday, US Airways will obtain 42 pairs of Delta’s slots at DCA and acquire the rights to expand to Tokyo, Japan and Sao Paulo, Brazil. Simultaneously, US Airways will transfer 125 pairs of its slots to Delta at New York's LaGuardia Airport (LGA).
