SUBJECT: Airworthiness Directive 2006-16-05
SUMMARY: The FAA is superseding an
existing airworthiness directive (AD) for Pratt & Whitney
PW4164, PW4168, and PW4168A series turbofan engines.
Some allegedly shoddy workmanship has drawn fire from Southwest
Airlines... which has filed suit against the paving company that
laid down the aircraft apron at MacArthur Airport in Ronkonkoma,
NY.
Aero-News has learned that in a meeting Friday, Brazilian
planemaker Embraer's Board of Directors appointed Frederico Fleury
Curado to succeed Mauricio Botelho as President and CEO of Embraer,
to be elected in April 2007.
