A British Airways 747-400 was evacuated at Phoenix Sky Harbor
International airport Friday, when passengers detected the strong
odor of smoke in the cabin while the aircraft was taxiing for
departure to London.

According to former FAA Inspector Gabe Bruno, at least one of
the mechanics that worked on a Chalk's Ocean Airways Grumman
Mallard which went down shortly after takeoff from Miami in 2005
was unqualified for the work, and the FAA is covering up the
mistake.
