Airline Has 37 787s On Order For Delivery Through 2019
Boeing has delivered the first 787 Dreamliner to Air Canada, the first airline in Canada to fly the Dreamliner. The airplane, the first of Air Canada's 37 787s on order for delivery through 2019, departed Paine Field in Everett, WA on its delivery flight to Toronto.
First Flew Sunday After Receiving Flight Test Permit
Bombardier has confirmed that the fourth CSeries flight test vehicle (FTV4) took to the skies on May 18, 2014, on its maiden flight from Mirabel, Québec. FTV4 received Transport Canada’s Flight Test Permit on May 14, 2014.
New Air Traffic Control Facility In The Design Phase
Several new FAA initiatives will help reduce delays and save time and money for passengers and airlines in the New York area, the busiest and most complex airspace in the country. The FAA is modifying the approach to airspace redesign in New York after completing the first two phases, and is beginning the design process for a new state-of-the-art air traffic facility.
