During U.S. President Donald Trump's visit to China, Juneyao Airlines, a subsidiary under Juneyao Group, reached an agreement with GE to order GEnx-1B engines to power its 10 Boeing 787-9 aircraft. Wang Junjin, Chairman of the Juneyao Group and John Rice, Vice Chairman of GE, President & CEO of GE Global Growth, signed the agreement, witnessed by U.S. President Trump and China President Xi Jinping.

Commercial Orders Exceed 200 In China For 2017

Bell Helicopter has signed an agreement with Reignwood International Investment Group Company Ltd. (Reignwood) under which Reignwood has agreed to purchase an additional 50 Bell 505s, act as the exclusive reseller for the Bell 505 in China and establish a Bell 505 delivery and maintenance center. The new contract follows previous purchase agreements signed earlier this year with Reignwood for 60 Bell 505s, totaling 110 Bell 505 aircraft.

FAA ARC Recommends Changes To The '1,500 Hour' Rule

Endorses An Enhanced Qualification Program (EQP) As An Alternative Pathway To An ATP

The FAA Air Carrier Training Aviation Rulemaking Committee (ACT ARC) has made a recommendation to the agency to modify its requirements for obtaining an ATP certification with restricted privileges (R-ATP) by allowing some education to be substituted for time in the cockpit. The ARC said in the document released last month that the recommendation is the first alternative pathway to such certification to be recommended.
