Southwest Airlines says that its pilots, represented by the
Southwest Airlines Pilots' Association (SWAPA), voted to ratify the
tentative, five-year contract both parties reached last month. The
new contract is active through Aug. 31, 2011.
IAM Claims Delta And Northwest Are Not Yet A Single
Carrier
The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace
Workers (IAM) on Friday withdrew the single carrier application it
filed with the National Mediation Board (NMB) on behalf of Delta
Air Lines and Northwest Airlines' fleet service employees on August
13, 2009.
