ATR Makes Its Comeback To The U.S.

Deal Signed For 15 ATR -600S To Be Operated By Florida-Based Carrier Silver Airways

ATR has announced its first deal of 2018 which sees the introduction of the ATR -600 series in the US, to be operated by Silver Airways. The airline will introduce 20 ATR -600 aircraft into its fleet, of which 16 will be ATR 42-600s and four will be ATR 72-600s. This follows a deal between ATR and Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) for the purchase of 15 ATR -600s, of which 12 will be ATR 42-600s and three will be ATR 72-600s. These aircraft, along with five from an existing order between ATR and NAC, will be leased to Silver Airways, making them the first operator of ATR -600 series aircraft in the US.

Adds Collège Air Richelieu To Its Pathways Roster

Collège Air Richelieu of Saint-Hubert, Quebec has been added to the Jazz Aviation Pathways Program, which was developed in 2007 to create a streamlined career path for the pilot profession in Canada. The addition of Collège Air Richelieu brings the number of Jazz APP educational institutions to 12, and the overall number of organizations to 16.

FAA Clears 787-10 For Commercial Service

Deliveries To Start Early This Year

The FAA has awarded an amended type certificate (ATC) to Boeing for the 787-10 Dreamliner, clearing the aircraft for entry into commercial service. The awarding of ATC caps a successful flight test program that began in March 2017 and involved three flight test airplanes that accumulated about 900 test hours.
