NASA's Mars Odyssey spacecraft has discovered entrances to seven
possible caves on the slopes of a Martian volcano. The find is
fueling interest in potential underground habitats and sparking
searches for caverns elsewhere on the Red Planet.
The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA)
has selected the US Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and
Lockheed Martin team as the winner of the 2007 Technical
Achievement Award for the Experimental Satellite System-11 (XSS-11)
