Project Is Part Of NASA's Celebration Of The 40th Anniversary
Of The Moon Landing
On the eve of the 40th anniversary of the historic first moon
landing, NASA is seeking ideas from the public, academia, and
industry about how to analyze and catalog notes from spaceflight
pioneer Wernher von Braun into an electronic, searchable database
or other system.
Snecma and Volvo Aero agreed at the Paris Air Show on the basic
principles of a five-year partnership between the two companies in
the field of space propulsion. For Volvo Aero, sales of
several hundreds of millions of Swedish kronor will be secured
through the agreement.
NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
(NOAA) have received the first on-orbit signals from GOES-O,
indicating that the Earth-observation satellite is healthy and
