Turnkey UAS Imaging Solution Offers Combination Infrared and 64MP Camera

Teledyne's new Hadron 640R camera module was announced this week, boasting a high-performance 64-megapixel thermal/visible camera optimized for lightweight, compact applications. The system is advertised as an excellent choice for "integration into unmanned aircraft systems, unmanned ground vehicles, robotic platforms, and emerging AI ready applications where battery life and run time are mission critical." The combination camera sports a 640 x 512 resolution Boson longwave infrared thermal camera, allowing vision through total darkness, smoke, fog, and glare.

The Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International has announced a revamped, fresh image as it nears its 50th anniversary. Earlier this year, AUVSI brought attention to itself with the change from "unmanned" to "uncrewed" as part of its equity program, "Autonomy for All". Along with the name change, the group's branding, logo, and style has been updated and improved, given its growing footprint in the wider market. While under the hood, it rebranded and reorganized its large events.

The Unmanned Safety Institute has announced the availability of their new textbook covering legal considerations surrounding UAS operations. According to the Institute, the book, "Unmanned Aircraft Systems – Legal and Business Considerations", was created to "provide much needed insight to new or rapidly growing Unmanned Aircraft Systems commercial operations."
