The FAA has released a final rule that will allow instrument pilot candidates to make more use of simulators in obtaining their rating. The use of aviation training devices for instrument flight training has been recognized as a valuable tool since their introduction in World War Two. Moon Express Begins Process Of Commercial Lunar Mission Approval

Historic First Application Submitted To FAA For A Private Space Mission Beyond Earth Orbit

Moon Express has become the first private space company to request the U.S government to conduct a payload review of its spacecraft and plans leading to regulatory approval of a commercial mission to the Moon in 2017. Moon Express initiated the review process through a submission to the FAA Office of Commercial Space Transportation (FAA AST), bringing the company another important step closer to the Moon.
