It appears the often troublesome vacuum pump on GA airplanes is on its way out. This is because the FAA has issued a TSO approval to Sandia Aerospace for the long awaited SAI 340 Quattro. The SAI 340 is a four in one unit that provides Attitude-Altitude-Airspeed-Slip in an easy to read electronic format.
