The family of 4-year-old Zoey Wahl, who was fatally injured when the Van’s RV-10 she was aboard went down in May of last year, has filed a lawsuit seeking $35 million in damages. While the lawsuit is specifically filed against Van’s Aircraft and FloScan, a company that manufactures a fuel flow transducer that was mounted on the aircraft, it also indicts the entire concept of the certification of experimental amateur-built aircraft.
