Skydiving Takeoff Crash Claims Life

August 1st Accident Injured 5 Others

A Cessna 185, a workhorse much loved by the skydiving community for its ability to handle 6 people on board and operate off all manner of unimproved strips, went down last week shortly after takeoff, which resulted in serious injuries to all aboard. Unfortunately; ANN has learned that one of the jumpers on board has perished as a result of this accident.

Holy smokes! Oshkosh 2010 is now history... and it nearly was exactly that. For the first time in my memory (having done some 38 of these things...
