EASA Publishes Proposed Standards For Light Drone Certification

The Proposed Standards Are Known As Special Condition Light UAS

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency has published a proposal of airworthiness standards for the certification of the vast majority of light unmanned aircraft. These standards will greatly contribute to the safe operation of drones for a wide variety of services, such as parcel delivery in urban environments, railways and power lines inspection or delivery of essential supplies into crisis zones.

No Kidding... Oshkosh/EAA REALLY Is Closed This Week

As Previously Noted, AirVenture Grounds ARE CLOSED This Week

EAA has put out the word... again... that with the cancellation of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2020, aviators are reminded that the EAA grounds will remain closed to visitors and volunteers next week. Wittman Regional Airport will operate normally as a public-use airport with contract tower services. For those considering flying to Oshkosh next week, it's important to manage expectations and understand that there is no access to the EAA grounds or the public flightline areas typically used during AirVenture week.
