B-21 Raider Artist Rendering Shown To Public

Will Incrementally Replace The B-1 Lancer And The B-2 Spirit Bombers

The Air Force has released a new B-21 Raider artist rendering graphic with an accompanying fact sheet. As with past renderings, this rendering is an artist’s interpretation of the B-21 design. The new rendering highlights the future stealth bomber with Edwards Air Force Base, California, as the backdrop. The 420th Flight Test Squadron based at Edwards AFB will plan, test, analyze and report on all flight and ground testing of the B-21 Raider. The B-21 program continues to execute the Engineering and Manufacturing Development phase and is focused on scaling the manufacturing infrastructure and capacity across the industrial supply base to prepare for low rate initial product

Largest Marine Aircraft Wing Kicks Off Exercise With Long-Range Strike

Summer Fury 21 Will Continue Until July 30

Marines with 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing began Exercise Summer Fury 21 with a long-range maritime strike off the coast of Washington. Summer Fury is the largest Marine aviation exercise on the West Coast, and provides 3rd MAW opportunity to improve warfighter readiness in support of a Marine Expeditionary Force maritime campaign. From July 7 to July 9, 3rd MAW executed a long-range maritime strike against a simulated enemy naval surface combatant. With the support of the Port of Moses Lake, 3rd MAW demonstrated its capability to conduct fixed-wing strike operations with F/A-18C Hornets and F-35B Lighting IIs against adversarial naval combatants in a distributed, maritime environment.
