The United States Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), based at Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio, awarded GE Aviation a $1 billion contract to continue maturing its three-stream adaptive cycle engine via the Adaptive Engine Transition Program (AETP).
