New Variant Can Lift Three Times The External Load Of Its Predecessor

The Sikorsky CH-53K King Stallion completed an external lift of a 36,000-pound payload at the Sikorsky Development Flight Center, achieving a maximum weight on the single center point cargo hook. This milestone marks completion of critical flight envelope expansion activities for the CH-53K as Sikorsky prepares to deliver the first aircraft to the U.S. Marine Corps this year.

CPI Aerostructures Receives $3.8 Million Contract Amendment From Bell

Will Provide Components For The AH-1Z Viper Helicopter

CPI Aerostructures has received an amendment to an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract from Bell for the manufacture of engine cowl assemblies and support assemblies for the AH-1Z Viper attack helicopter. The contract amendment extends the period of performance by one year and is valued at $3.8 million.  The IDIQ contract, previously announced by CPI Aero in January 2017, now has a potential value of $18.6 million based on the estimated order quantity during the period of performance ending December 31, 2021. CPI Aero has manufactured such assemblies for the AH-1Z Viper since 2011.
