U.K. Defense Select Committee Report Published Wednesday
The rapid development of remotely piloted air systems by the UK armed forces over the past decade has contributed greatly to the effectiveness of military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, According to a report published Wednesday by the U.K. Defense Select Committee, and that the provision of enhanced intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance that these air systems provide to troops on the ground has undoubtedly saved lives and prevented casualties.
Will Join Brazilian Air Force Fleet Of Operational Hermes 450 Aircraft
The Brazilian Air Force ("FAB") has signed a contract with Elbit Systems for the supply of a Hermes 900 Unmanned Aircraft Systems. The Hermes 900, which will be equipped with a new and advanced intelligence gathering system considered as a breakthrough operational solution, will be operated by FAB in combined missions with the Hermes 450 fleet, already in operational use. Both UAS will carry safety and security missions in the 2014 FIFA World Cup Games.
