Boeing Receives Contract For Japan KC-46 Tanker

Japan Air Self-Defense Force Becomes First International KC-46 Customer

Through the Foreign Military Sale process, the U.S. Air Force has awarded Boeing a $279 million contract for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force’s (JASDF’s) first KC-46 tanker and logistics support, marking the aircraft’s first international sale.

Will Be Used For Surveillance And Telecommunications

Elistair, French designer and manufacturer of tethered drone systems has signed an agreement with the DGA – French Defense procurement Agency – for the financing of its AIRWATCH project, under the RAPID program – Dual Innovation Support Scheme. The AIRWATCH project aims at developing a smart tethered drone for surveillance and telecommunications endowed with an unlimited flight time thanks to its micro-tether providing continuous power from a ground station, and considerably enlarging drones field of applications for defense, private and public safety, or national security.

Final Officer Selections To Be Made In July

The Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, is seeking highly motivated Navy officer and enlisted applicants. According to NAVADMIN 298/17, selected applicants will join the team for the 2019 show season.
