German Armed Forces To Receive 18 Of The Helicopters
On Thursday, the NH90 Sea Lion naval multi-role helicopter took off for its on-schedule inaugural flight at Airbus Helicopters in Donauwörth. Wolfgang Schoder, CEO of Airbus Helicopters Deutschland; Ralph Herzog, Director in the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) and Vice Admiral Andreas Krause, Chief of the German Navy welcomed this important milestone in the program.
The Government of Canada has selected the Airbus C295W for its Fixed-Wing Search and Rescue Program. As part of the FWSAR program, the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) will purchase 16 C295Ws modified for Search and Rescue (SAR). The contract will also include in service support, provided through a joint venture between Airbus Defence and Space and PAL Aerospace.
