First Order For Type Under Foreign Military Sales Program
Lockheed Martin delivered the first of four C-130Js to the Royal
Norwegian Air Force at a ceremony this week with US and Norwegian
officials at the company's Marietta, GA facility.
Members of the 31st Test and Evaluation Squadron at Edwards Air
Force Base "test drive" the Global Hawk unmanned aircraft system,
and ensure the aircraft is up to par with advertised
specifications. Squadron personnel evaluate the operational
effectiveness and suitability of advanced Air Combat Command weapon
systems, one of which is the Global Hawk.
Northrop Grumman's E-2D Advanced Hawkeye System recently
completed its Operational Assessment (OA), flying out of the
Northrop Grumman East Coast Manufacturing and Flight Test Center in
St. Augustine, FL. With completion of OA, the flight test program
has accumulated more than 600 flight hours, over half involving
in-flight radar testing.
