Bosnia Agrees To Donate C-47 To French Museum

Dakota Flew In D-Day Invasion

ANN is pleased to report what appears to be a happy ending for a group of airplane enthusiasts hoping to salvage an historic Douglas C-47 from Bosnia, and display it in a French museum. This week, the government of Bosnia-Herzegovina agreed to give the plane to the D-Day Museum in Merville-Franceville in Normandy.

The US Air Force announced Wednesday F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jets will soon return to service in the Iraq and Afghanistan war theaters, although older F-15s flown by Air National Guard and reserve units stateside will remain grounded in the aftermath of a crash earlier this month.
