Portuguese Ministry Of Defense Orders Five AW119Kx Helicopters

Deliveries Will Be Completed By Early 2020

The Portuguese Ministry of Defense (MoD) has selected the AW119Kx as its new multirole single engine helicopter to meet its future operational requirements. The Portuguese Air Force is set to take delivery of five aircraft with an option for a further two units. Deliveries are to start in late 2018 from Leonardo’s plant  in Philadelphia, PA with completion of deliveries by early 2020.

Embraer Receives ANACĀ“s Type Certificate Of The Multi-Mission Airlift KC-390

Final Operational Capability Authorization Expected By The End Of 2019

Embraer celebrated another important milestone today by receiving the Type Certificate from Brazilian aviation authority Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC) for its multi-mission airlift KC-390. The certificate was delivered by ANAC´s Director Juliano Alcântara Noman. The ceremony, held at the Brasília Air Force Base, to celebrate the Aviator Day and Brazilian Air Force Day, was attended by the President of Brazil, Michel Temer, Minister of Defense, Joaquim Silva e Luna, and Brazilian Air Force (FAB) Commander, Lieutenant-Brigadier Nivaldo Rossato.
