U.K. Facility To Conduct Research Into Military Jet Aircraft

A selection of senior representatives from BAE recently visited Loughborough University to view a new test laboratory for research into military jet aircraft – the only one of its kind in the U.K. Developed in partnership with BAE, Loughborough and colleagues from the Universities of Cranfield and Leicester, the facility can assess how to cool the electronic systems within an aircraft most effectively; a process known as thermal management.

Elbit To Supply Advanced HMD Systems For Korean Utility Helicopter

Follow-On Contract Covers Four-Year Period

Elbit Systems has been awarded a follow-on contract to supply advanced Helmet Mounted Display (HMD) systems for the Republic of Korea Army's SURION helicopter. The contract, which is in an amount that is not material to Elbit Systems, will be performed over a four-year period. Elbit Systems will supply the HMD systems to Korea Aerospace Industries Ltd. (KAI), the original manufacture of the SURION helicopter.

The Airbus Military Services Logistic Hub has started operations in Seville, Spain, in line with the Full In-Service Support (FISS) model developed by the company. This hub delivers spare parts for all Airbus Military products worldwide as well as ground equipment for the operation of the fleet.
