Shows Ability To Target A Laser From An Aircraft In Flight
Boeing and the U.S. Air Force say that on September 19, they
were able to damage a moving ground vehicle from the air using the
Advanced Tactical Laser (ATL) aircraft, completing ATL's first
air-to-ground, high-power laser engagement of a mobile target.
Savings At Nellis AFB Estimated At $38,000 Per Month
A solar-energy array at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, is saving
money for the Air Force and decreasing the service's reliance on
fossil fuels. "The military, perhaps better than anyone, is
bound and determined to be good stewards of the incredible natural

On July 28th, EAA AirVenture attendees watched the historic
arrival of a Predator B Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) as it landed
at Wittman Regional Airport for the first time. Kevin Krogh,
an Air Interdiction Agent with the U.S. Customs and Border
Protection agency, piloted the aircraft’s first landing as it
touched down in front of excited onlookers.
