However, an August 1st water landing resulted a fatal injury to an experienced floatplane pilot, and the NTSB's preliminary report indicates the wheels may have been extended during the landing attempt .

EASA Publishes Rules For 'Harmonized' Pilot Licensing

Regulations Mean Licensing Will Be Standard Across All Member States

The EASA today published a proposal to the European Commission for a "harmonized" regulation on Flight Crew Licensing (Part-FCL) in the form of an "Opinion". This new regulation will ensure that the same pilot licensing requirements and related high safety levels apply in all Member States.
