World Endurance Record Attempt For Electric Aircraft This Weekend

Will Depart Australia's Adelaide-Parafield Airport

Adelaide-based Eyre to There Aviation will aim to break a world endurance record for an electric aircraft with a 7-day, 18-stop flight around South Australia, starting Saturday. The record attempt, flying a Pipistrel Alpha Electro plane, will start at Parafield Airport at 7.00am on Saturday June 19 with the first leg to Balaklava and the first overnight stop in Whyalla. The total distance will be 1,150km, which will shatter the previous record of 750km flown in September 2020 in Germany.

Topped Off The Fuel Tanks On The Day Of The Accident And Engine Start And Run Up Were Normal

On May 29, 2021, about 1300 mountain daylight time, a Piper PA-24, N6334P, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Paris, Idaho. The pilot and passenger were seriously injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. According to the pilot, the flight departed from South Valley Regional Airport (U42), West Jordan, Utah, en route to Sun Valley, Idaho. He topped off the fuel tanks on the day of the accident and engine start and run up were normal.
