FltPlan has launched its free full feature Android Go app designed as an alternative to the iPad which until now has been the primary device available for inflight usage. This makes FltPlan the first company to offer free inflight apps on both Apple and Android tablets.
The National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO), has announced the creation of the Henry M. Ogrodzinski (shown below with the late Paul Poberezny) Scholarship Program. The program will be run through NASAO’s Center for Aviation Research and Education and will award scholarships to dependents and spouses of NASAO Members that are in good standing. All phases of the program will be independently managed by Scholarship Managers (SM) – a division of Career Opportunities Through Education, Inc. (Cote’). SM is a national, non-profit organization with extensive experience in the management of scholarship programs.

The ninth annual California Capital Airshow (CCA), presented by Sacramento County, has announced its headlining act, the United States Air Force (USAF) Air Combat Command F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team as well as its roster of performers, aircraft and interactive exhibits for the 2014 Show scheduled September 6-7, at Mather Airport (KMHR) in Sacramento.
