ICAO To Stay In Montreal

Agreement Signed With Canada To Keep HQ Where It Is Through 2036

The government of Canada and the ICAO have signed an agreement that will keep the headquarters of the International Civil Aviation Organization in Montreal until at least 2036. Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird, Jean-François Lisée, Quebec’s Minister of International Relations, La Francophonie and External Trade (and Minister Responsible for the Montréal Region), Montréal Mayor Michael Applebaum, and ICAO Secretary General Raymond Benjamin signed the new agreement Monday.

Motorists Thought They Were Filling Up With Unleaded Gasoline, Attorney For Stations Says They Were Not Aware

Attorney General Jeffrey S. Chiesa and the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs announced Tuesday the Division and its Office of Weights and Measures have sued six gas stations, their parent company, and two fuel distribution firms, after the gas stations allegedly sold aviation fuel, which contains toxic lead, during a three-day period in December, to consumers who thought they were filling their cars with ordinary, unleaded motor fuel.

Angel Flight Plane Raised From Pond In New York

Body Of One Person On Board The Airplane Is Still Missing

The wreckage of a Piper PA-34 that had been operating as an Angel Flight on Friday when it went down in upstate New York has been raised from the pond in which it became submerged. Authorities are still searching for the body of Frank Amerosa of Utica, NY, who was being flown home from Boston following treatment for brain cancer.
