DJI has debuted its Inspire 3 model, a streamlined, precise, full-frame 8K cinema drone the company asserts “sets a new standard for cinematic-grade aerial filming systems.”
On 12 April 2023 it was announced that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) had awarded Merlin Labs a $1-million contract for purpose of demonstrating the capabilities of its Merlin Pilot product under the auspices of onboard safety pilots. Flight-testing of the autonomous flight system will be conducted along three test routes, the entirety of which originate from the University of Alaska Fairbanks’s FAA-designated UAS test site. The flights will be conducted in cooperation with Everts Air Cargo.
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University has received a $485,000 Federal Aviation Administration grant by which the institution will ostensibly help meet growing job demand in the aviation and aerospace industries.
