Vintage Bonanzas Invited to Join VAA During Airplane’s 75th Anniversary

One of the truly iconic airframes of general aviation may be seen in huge numbers this July... and for good reason. One of the aircraft that helped to popularize GA starting over half-a century ago remains popular to this day. The Vintage Aircraft Association and the American Bonanza Society are joining to highlight Beech Bonanzas built prior to 1970 during activities at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2022 on July 25-31. The groups are also encouraging owners of those aircraft to register now, so they can receive updates on special events at Oshkosh this summer.

NTSB Prelim: Cessna 310R

The Right Main Landing Gear Collapsed And The Wing And Propeller Both Contacted The Runway

On March 10 2022, about 1430 Alaska daylight time, a Cessna 310R twin-engine airplane, N3UR, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near McGrath, Alaska. The pilot and three passengers were not injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. According to the pilot, he back taxied along runway 16 towards the departure end of the runway. When he arrived at the end of the runway, he started to turn to the airplane to align it with the reciprocal runway.
