Corporate Aircraft Association Funds Small Oklahoma Trial Initiative to Boost Aviation Interest in Students

Five Oklahoma flight schools will receive flight simulators donated by the Corporate Aircraft Association, meant to enhance the classroom implementation of a High School Aviation Curriculum. The schools were selected by the Oklahoma Aeronautics Commission to serve as the initial, higher-intensity standard bearers of high-quality aviation programs in each of their respective regions. The Corporate association funded and donated the sim equipment as a result of studying with the commission the most effective way to benefit young students to stimulate an interest in aviation.

JetBlue has announced the opening of the floodgates once again for its ab initio pilot training program. Their Gateway program holds 7 different, distinct pathways for pilots and aircraft maintenance technicians, billed as opening the way to a fruitful career for "anyone with the talent and dream". They take pride in their training program, calling the Gateway pipeline the "longest-running" offering of its kind.

NTSB Prelim: Robinson Helicopter R44

'A Sudden Violent Shaking And Vibration Was Experienced'

On February 19, 2022, at 1310 eastern standard time, a Robinson Helicopter R44, N544SB, sustained substantial damage when it was involved in an accident near Miami Beach, Florida. The pilot and two passengers sustained serious injuries. The helicopter was operated by the pilot under the provisions of Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 as a personal flight. The pilot reported that he had departed a helipad in Marathon, Florida and was returning along the coastline to his base airport of North Perry Airport (HWO), Hollywood, Florida.
