WAI Concludes First Virtual Conference

A Virtual Girls In Aviation Day Was Also Held On Saturday, March 13

The 32nd Annual International Women in Aviation Conference reportedly accomplished its goal to Connect. Engage. Inspire. during WAI's first virtual conference on March 11-12, 2021. "We made the decision last fall - for the safety of all our attendees during the pandemic - to take our annual gathering to an all-virtual platform with the goal of delivering the same content to include a wide variety of keynote speakers and exhibitors, seven education session tracks, professional development seminars and workshops, scholarship awards, and the Pioneer Hall of Fame induction ceremony," said Women in Aviation International (WAI) CEO Allison McKay.

NTSB Prelim: Beech F33

The Pilot Announced That He Was Performing A Missed Approach

On January 13, 2021 about 1033 eastern standard time, a Beech F33A, N266DC, was destroyed when it was involved in an accident near Columbia, South Carolina. The private pilot was fatally injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. Preliminary radar and air traffic control voice communication data provided by the Federal Aviation Administration indicated the airplane departed runway 19 at Greenville Downtown Airport (GMU) Greenville, South Carolina about 0959 under visual flight rules.
