The FAA and EASA have approved the Garmin G500 TXi and G600 TXi flight displays, and initial shipments have begun. Boasting a clean-sheet touchscreen design and vibrant presentation, the TXi family incorporates greater situational awareness tools and an innovative feature set into a contemporary avionics platform. Three displays are available, offering optimal flexibility for panel configurations, including a large 10.6-inch display, and two versions of 7-inch displays, in portrait and landscape orientations.

Able Flight Announces 2018 Scholarship Recipients

Organization Has Awarded Seven Flight Training Scholarships To Applicants From Across The Country

The Able Flight Class of 2018 includes a woman paralyzed due to an accident, two future pilots who are deaf, a former Navy crewman who became disabled due to disease, a man who became paralyzed due to an auto accident, a man who was born with a condition affecting all four limbs, and a soldier wounded in combat. In May, five of the aspiring new pilots will report for training at Purdue University and two will train at The Ohio State University.

NTSB: Cessna 441 Pilot Had Difficulty Controlling The Airplane Prior To Accident

Pilot Reported Multiple Control Issues During Flight

The NTSB has released a preliminary report form a loss of control accident which occurred on February 22, 2018 in Rossville, Indiana. The aircraft, a Cessna 441 Conquest II airplane impacted terrain resulting in the fatal injury of the airline transport rated pilot and two passengers. The airplane was destroyed.
