Universal Avionics and the Aircraft Electronics Association (AEA) have once again joined forces in a fundraiser to support the Experimental Aircraft Association’s (EAA) Young Eagles Program. Contributions to the program can be made throughout the AEA 57th Annual International Convention & Trade Show in Nashville, Tennessee, at Universal Avionics Booth 809 or AEA Booth 401, during exhibit hall hours March 13 – 15.

FAA Issues SAFO Focusing On GPS/Autopilot Interface

Says Not All Installations Have Resulted In 'Ideal' Performance

The FAA has issued a Safety Alert for Operators (SAFO) focusing on continuing reports of GPS/ GNSS installations or upgrades in which integration with existing autopilots has resulted in less than ideal performance in some modes or conditions. California Laser Striker Sentenced To 14 Years In Prison

Believed To Be the Longest Sentence Ever Imposed In A Laser-Strike Case

Sergio Patrick Rodriguez, 26, of Clovis, CA, has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for aiming a laser pointer at Fresno police helicopter Air 1, and attempting to interfere with its operation, according to United States Attorney Benjamin B.
